51ST & U is founded by a husband and wife duo. The brand is 100% Black owned and deeply rooted in the District, Maryland, and Virginia. The wife was born and raised in the DMV and the husband a Queens, New York native who’s called the area home for over 30 years (and who proudly loves Go-Go) are very excited to bring you a fresh new retail experienced steeped in DMV culture.
